What we use to run the game

• Your display name and a random player id, so others see you on the scoreboard and you keep your score if you reload. There are no accounts and we never ask for your email.
• Room data (players, scores, words of the round) is deleted automatically 2 hours after the last player leaves.
• Your browser's local storage remembers your name, player id, language, last theme and cookie choice (keys starting with wordsbrawl:). Nothing of this is a tracking cookie.

Services we rely on

• Cloudflare hosts the game. Cloudflare Turnstile checks that rooms are created by people, not bots, when you create or join a room.
• Google Analytics 4 tells us how many people play and which features they use, only if you accept analytics cookies. Until then it runs in Consent Mode with analytics storage denied: no analytics cookies are set. We don't use advertising features.

Cookies

If you accept, Google Analytics sets _ga and _ga_* (up to 2 years) to count visits. You can change your choice any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of the home page; rejecting stops analytics cookies from being used.
